About the school
100 Years of Excellence in Education (1927 – 2027)
He commanded that these things be made known to the coming generations so that the children yet to be born might in turn teach them to their they don't children” Psalm 78: 6.
Today the school runs the full Tamil Nadu State Board curriculum through Class XII, with laboratories,
a library, a computer room and a playing field that keep the day balanced between the desk and everything else.
Guided by its motto "Ora et Labora" (Pray and Work), Little Flower Higher Secondary School continues its noble mission of service without discrimination as it proudly prepares to mark 100 grand years in June 2027.

1922
Foundations & Inception (1922 – 1927)
1922: Rev. Fr. Romond Mishoth initiated elementary classes (Grades 3–5) at the St. Mary’s ITI campus, affectionately known by locals as the "Workshop School." June 1927: Officially recognized by the government with an open-door policy welcoming students of all castes and religions equally. Opened with 82 students, growing to 130 by year-end.

Mid century
Growth & Upgradation (1928 – 1931)
1928: Introduced Grades 6, 7, and 8 on July 15, 1928, following the establishment of the Junior Seminary. 1929 – 1930: Upgraded to a High School with Grade 9 in 1929 and Grade 10 in 1930, appointing Rev. Fr. Chinnaswamy as the first Headmaster. 1931: Earned permanent recognition for Grades 9, 10, and 11.

Later years
Key Milestones (1952 – 2012)
1952: Celebrated its Silver Jubilee. 1959 – 1960: Introduced the Science stream (1959) and opened the Little Flower Students' Hostel (1960) under Rev. Fr. Louis. 1978: Upgraded to a Higher Secondary School following its Golden Jubilee (1977). 2004 & 2012: Celebrated its Diamond Jubilee (2004) and officially established the Little Flower Alumni Association (LIFAA) on July 17, 2012.

Inclusivity & Social Impact Today
Diverse Student Body: Currently educates 2,000 students (1,550 non-Christian, 450 Christian). Social Equality: Comprises 50% Scheduled Caste (SC), 40% Backward Classes (BC), and 10% other categories. Empowering the Underprivileged: 50% (1,000 students) come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and are provided quality, affordable education.

Applications open for 2026–27
Forms for Classes VI to XI are available at the school office on all working days between 9.30 a.m. and 3.30 p.m. Bring the transfer certificate and the previous mark statement.

The Class X and Class XII model examination schedule has been issued to class teachers. Revision classes continue on Saturdays until the public examinations begin.

Parents are invited to the annual day programme on the school ground. Cultural items, sports prizes and academic awards will be presented on the same evening.
